Complex Trauma Workshop for Survivors.
3 Hour Workshop or Webinar
A Psycho-Education session for adults who have experienced complex trauma and want to learn more about the impact it has had on their brain & body. Strategies for healing & recovery, including Dr Dan Siegel’s Wheel of Awareness, will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes:
At the completion of this workshop participants will be able to:
1. Discuss the impact of trauma on brain development, memory and all domains of human development (e.g. physical, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, psychological, social, moral etc.)
2. Identify some of the barriers to disclosure for Survivors of childhood traumatic experiences.
3. Examine a Case Study of intergenerational transmission of trauma.
4. Learn about strengths, Post Traumatic Growth and pathways to recovery from childhood traumatic experiences.
5. Describe strategies for self regulation, including learning about triggers and how to recognise and better manage them.
